Ben Wikler
Quote of the day, courtesy of MLK: "You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”
On February 1, 2025, the Democratic Party will elect its next DNC Chair — a remarkable opportunity to embrace bold, effective leadership. The leader we need is Ben Wikler (background here). As the transformational chair of the Wisconsin Democratic Party, Ben has shown the power of strategic vision, operational excellence, and a relentless focus on results. Here’s why he’s running:
A priority for Ben will be turbo-charging state Democratic Parties. While the Democratic Party raises billions of dollars, it grossly underfunds its state parties. Shockingly, only a handful have paid staff. This short video explains their vital role:
For the past several years, I’ve seen firsthand Ben’s extraordinary impact in Wisconsin, and across America. He’ll create a strong, effective DNC that lifts up all states, and candidates up and down the ballot. He’ll offer courageous, compelling leadership (vs. the DNC’s silence last July about our nominating process).
While others are running for the DNC Chair, Ben is the hands-down choice. But he needs your support to win the needed votes. Help him build out a team, reach DNC members, and set up compliance and vote-tracking systems. There’s no better use of your Democracy Moneyball $’s. Start the week off on an uplifting note by donating $100, or $1,000, or even more (as I’m doing).
Also, do what you can to encourage any of the 448 DNC voting members to support Ben Wikler, and bring competent leadership to our collective efforts to create a better future for our nation. I’m sure they’re aware that donors are exhausted by the Party’s repeated misteps, and it’s time to get serious and take this galvanizing ‘first step.’
With cautious excitement,
Ted
